According to new reports, the physical button on the back has been replaced with a hidden touch button on the front. This hidden touch button, located on the front of the charging case, is used for pairing. It is said that to pair the device, you need to open the AirPods 4 case and tap the hidden button twice.
Additionally, this button can also be used to reset the new AirPods to factory settings. If you want to reset the fourth-generation AirPods, you can do so with a triple tap or a long press.
It is also claimed that the green light seen in photos is not an actual LED indicator but is located beneath the white plastic, lighting up only when the case is opened or while charging. The AirPods 4 will be available for sale at a price of $129, while the version with Active Noise Cancellation (ANC) will be priced at $179. The new AirPods models will officially go on sale on September 20.
